What DBL Optimizer does — and doesn’t do — with your data, and how to manage cookies.
Summary
- No account, no form, no user database.
- Your team is neither saved nor sent anywhere: it only lives in the open page.
- Two settings are remembered in your browser: your language and your game mode.
- Third-party services (hosting, fonts, images, Google ads) receive technical data such as your IP address; advertising cookies depend on your consent.

Data processed by DBL Optimizer
Team lineup
The characters, equipment and settings you choose are processed only in your browser, for the duration of your visit. They aren’t saved and aren’t sent to any server.
Local storage (localStorage)
Two values are kept in your browser’s local storage so your settings are remembered:
dbl-lang— the chosen language (English or French);dbl-mode— the game mode (Classic or Proud).
They contain no personal data, aren’t transmitted and can be deleted at any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
Emails
If you write to us, your address and message are only used to reply. They aren’t shared or used for anything else, and are kept only as long as the conversation requires.
Third-party services
- Hosting — GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.): keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, requested pages) to run and secure the service. GitHub Privacy Statement.
- Fonts — Google Fonts: the Bricolage Grotesque and Figtree fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Google Privacy Policy.
- Character artwork — dblegends.net: images are displayed from this community site, which receives your IP address when they load.
- Advertising — Google AdSense: see below.
Advertising and cookies
The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, measure their performance and, with your consent, personalize them based on your visits to this site and other sites.
- Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message (a Google-certified platform compliant with the IAB TCF framework) lets you accept, refuse or customize advertising cookies. Without your consent, only non-personalized ads can be shown.
- Change your choice. The “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page reopens this message at any time.
- Google settings. You can also turn off ad personalization in My Ad Center and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
DBL Optimizer sets no cookies of its own and shares no personal data with advertisers.
Legal bases and retention
- Advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Hosting logs and loading fonts and images: our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.
- Email conversations: your consent, for the duration of the conversation.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict processing and withdraw consent. Since DBL Optimizer keeps no data about you (apart from emails), write to us with any question; for data processed by Google, use the Google tools linked above. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the French CNIL.

This policy may change, for example if new services are used. The last update date is shown at the top of the page.
